International Dance Music Awards є одним з найважливіших голосувань в області танцювальної музики. Церемонія нагородження по праву вважається кульмінацією знаменитої Winter Music Conference в Майамі, в якій беруть участь як легенди електронної музики, так і початківці.
Цього року в 25-му голосуванні IDMA взяли участь більше мільйона чоловік з 183 країн, які і визначили переможців за підсумками 2009-го року в 57 категоріях. Нагороди вручалися не тільки за досягнення в музиці, але і за краще супутнє програмне забезпечення, устаткування, клуби і багато що інше.
Тріумфатором цього року виявився Armin van Buuren, який отримав звання кращого діджея в світі, а також власника кращого лейбла, Armada. Але нагорода за краще радіошоу дісталася не йому, а Tiesto, а кращою компіляцією став Vonyc Sessions 09. Повний список результатів представлений нижче:
